At the moment www.sensor-film.com is a one man show produced by Rainer Hönle. I am a physicist currently doing my PhD in astronomy physics. After school I started my own business producing films and working as cameraman for television in 1995. As long as I can think, I have always been a mountaineer and so I took most of my pictures in the Alps. A few years ago I specialized in mountain night photography.

In 2005 I "invented" the sensor cleaning method with polymers. I used a product which was originally used for cleaning records. This product is only available in Germany, and thus this cleaning method is common only here. In 2007 I decided to produce my own polymer cleaning solution which is optimized for DSLR sensors. After several months of developing and intensive testing Sensor-Film was available from June 07.
